HyperTerminal Test
To test the HyperTerminal connection, enter a command <enter> and verify the proper response is returned. Refer to the product operating manual for the list of commands for your master clock, time server or frequency reference. As an example, the model 8195B GPS-disciplined Ageless® oscillator has a GPS Signal Status command to view the satellites currently tracked by the GPS receiver. To send the command to the unit, type GSS <enter>. Figure 5 shows a typical response that verifies proper operation.

In this example, if there was no response from the GPS receiver in the master clock, time server or frequency reference go to troubleshooting.
