The simplicity of installation, ease of management, and reliable operation of the NetCloc reduces the cost of network administration. It includes full SNMP capability, support for enterprise directory servers to authenticate users, internal and external logging and monitoring of error messages through Syslog, DHCP for installation convenience, and IPv4/IPv6 dual stack for future network modernization.
Enhanced reliability features include optional oven-stabilized crystal oscillators (OCXO) and Rubidium oscillators to maintain timing if the GPS reference is lost. They also provide stable 10 MHz and 1PPS outputs for communications systems, as well as IRIG timecodes for legacy equipment. An optional dial-out modem provides back-up to GPS or functions as the primary reference for disaster recovery. NTP Peering allows for redundancy when multiple NetClock systems are deployed.
The NetClock can track up to twelve GPS satellites simultaneously, providing highly accurate timing by synchronizing to the satellites’ atomic clocks. A secure GPS receiver is available for SAASM applications as is required under the 2003 Joint Chiefs of Staff Instructions: Master Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Plan (CJCSI 6130.01C: Enclosure E).

SAASM GPS Receiver Option
GPS is an indispensable tool for synchronizing military actions and other timing applications, thanks to the GPS system’s extremely accurate and well-synchronized atomic clocks. However, GPS transmissions are relatively low-power and vulnerable to jamming. They may also be spoofed, a hacking technique in which seemingly legitimate data is faked.
To counter these threats, the Joint Chiefs of Staff have chosen the Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) as the GPS security architecture. As of October 2006, all newly fielded Department of Defense (DoD) GPS systems must use SAASM-compliant Precise Positioning System (PPS) devices.
A secure GPS receiver is available for SAASM applications as is required under the 2003 Joint Chiefs of Staff Instruction: Master Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Plan (CJCSI 6130.01C: Enclosure E). Learn more about this DoD mandate by reading "Enclosure E" of the document.

2 versions of NetClock are available depending on your requirements. The 9389 includes the NetClock standard GPS NTP server functionality with TCXO internal oscillator. The NENA-compliant 9383 includes as standard additional synchronization outputs: IRIG, 1PPS and 10 MHz; 2 each RS-232 and RS-485 timecode outputs; and 2 front panel displays.
