Product Overview

Here’s an easy, affordable way to provide system-wide split-second timing to every public safety agency and municipal service in your community. As demands upon these services increase and society expects more accountability, you must be able to provide accurate coordinated time across your system. Coordinated system time ensures that time stamped record and events are admissible in a court of law and enhances your department’s credibility.

The Spectracom TimeBurst Wireless Time Link delivers what you need. This innovative solution uses your existing public safety radio system to transmit accurate, synchronized time from your central communications system to any receiver site in your community. In combination with the Spectracom NetClock or TTS Master Clock, TimeBurst sets your system and display clocks to within 250 milliseconds of UTC (Coordinated Universal Time).

TimeBurst receives time from your NetClock or TTS Master Clock through the RS-485 port and connects to your radio transmitter or radio console. On a schedule you choose, TimeBurst automatically keys the transmitter and sends a short coded time-of-day message in the form of a digital burst. The unit is polite to voice and will wait for clear air to send.

The optional Event Alert feature sends alert messages, along with the synchronized time updates, to wireless clocks, which then provide visible and audible alerts. Commands are executed via the TimeBurst Wireless Time Link Model 8185, Option 01 for Event Alert.

The Spectracom TimeBurst is automatic, accurate, reliable, and affordable. In today’s litigious environment, you can’t afford to be without it.
