Product Overview

The Spectracom TTS 240 is a reliable network timeserver that is part of the Spectracom total timing solution. Using NTP, the TTS 240 is designed to synchronize computer networks to ensure that all components are running on the same time. It is ideally suited to handle synchronization over networks running security applications, building automation, e-commerce transactions and any other environment where accurate synchronized time is essential.

The TTS 240 automatically tracks up to twelve satellites simultaneously, and provides extremely accurate timing by synchronizing to the satellites’ atomic clocks. An external modem provides dial-out access to NIST’s ACTS or other dial-up services.

Enhanced security features including: Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) ensure operational integrity.

A variety of time code outputs are available to meet the requirements of numerous systems - two RS-232 serial ports, two RS-485 data bus ports, IRIG B/E and TTL, plus frequency outputs of 10 MHz and 1 PPS. Alarm outputs and programmable timer outputs are also provided. For ease of integration and management, the TTS 240 supports SNMP.

Rubidium Option: Where greater holdover capability is required, Spectracom offers the TTS 240 Network Time Server with a rubidium oscillator option. The TTS 240Rb is ideal for situations where climate conditions and/or physical obstructions may cause temporary GPS signal loss and precise synchronization still must be maintained.

Each Spectracom TTS 240 or TTS 240Rb system includes a UL-approved international power supply.

Technical Specifications

Accuracy Typical
