Product Overview

The Spectracom TTS 220 is a reliable network timeserver that is part of the Spectracom total timing solution. Supporting NTP, the TTS 220 is designed to synchronize computer networks to ensure that all components are running on the same time. It is ideally suited to handle synchronization over networks running security applications, building automation, e-commerce transactions and any other environment where accurate synchronized time is essential.

The TTS 220 utilizes GPS timing, automatically tracking up to twelve GPS satellites simultaneously. An external modem provides Dial-out access to NIST\'s ACTS or other dial-up services.

Enhanced security features including: Secure Shell (SSH), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) ensure operational integrity.

Two RS-232 serial ports, two RS-485 data bus ports and a 10/100 BaseT LAN port are available to meet the requirements of a variety of systems. For ease of integration and management, the TTS 220 supports SNMP.

Each Spectracom TTS 220 system includes a UL-approved international power supply.

Technical Specifications

Accuracy Typical
RS-232/RS-485: Time code ±100 microseconds to ±1 millisecond of UTC, format dependent
Ethernet NTP: Output jitter within ±50 microseconds relative to UTC typical. Conforms with or exceeds RFC 1305 and 2030.
Outputs
Type: Connector:
Ethernet 10/100 BaseT RJ45 (auto sensing)
Two RS-232 Serial Comm. DB9 female
Two RS-485 Once-per-Second 3.81mm Terminal Block
Alarm outputs 3.81mm Terminal Block
Three Alarm/Programmable Timer 3.81mm Terminal Block
Security Features SSL Web Based Interface: Web UI uses SSL to allow the use of the secure HTTPS protocol to access configuration and status web pages.
SSH: utilizes SSL and data compression technologies to provide a secure and efficient means to control, communicate with, and transfer data to or from the master clock remotely.
SCP: is used to securely transfer files to and from the time server over an SSH session.
SFTP: is an FTP replacement that operates over an encrypted SSH transport.
SNMPv3: allows remote configuration and management over an encrypted connection.
Dial-out Modem (Primary or Back-up) Serial set-up interface connects to an external modem that provides primary or back-up (in the event of a loss of GPS signal) connection to Legally Traceable Time® from NIST's ACTS or other selected dial-up service.
