How Does the 9200 Series Support Option 03 Modem? - Supports NIST ACTS and SPRING ACTS
- Supports ITU-R TF583.2, ITU-R TF583.4
- GPS Backup: If the GPS signal is lost, the NetClock unit can automatically dial NIST, etc. to maintain Stratum 1 operation.
- Primary: If a given NetClock installation location does not lend itself to a rooftop or window mount GPS antenna, but has analog telecom lines, the administrator can set up the modem as the primary time source.

| Introduction Spectracom NetClock® products are GPS-based, Network Time Protocol (NTP) time servers or master clocks. NetClocks typically provide timing services to various networking devices. To provide another source of Legally Traceable Time®, NetClock products also support dial-out modem capability. Dial-Out Modem (Option 03) While GPS satellites are the most accurate time source widely available for applications including network time synchronization, NetClock products also offer a dial-out modem option for those rare occurrences when the GPS signal is lost or otherwise unavailable. Option 03, Modem, is available for the Model 9283 and the Model 9289.
