Retimers/Filters

Spectracom’s new Timing Enhancement Kits (TEK™) offer the lowest cost alternative for simply reconstituting timing stability at the network edge. The TEK filters use a unique algorithm to maintain timing of remote switches to maintain PRS traceability. TEK retimer/filters use a local BITS clock or PRS to regenerate the DS1/E1 payload at the PRS rate. Either solution provides a simple, economical solution to mitigate the effects of clock aberrations and SONET pointer adjustments. Each version has a model that is optimized for DS1 or E1 applications.

Models

  • TEK-100 DS1 Filter
    TEK-100-DS1_filter

    request_a_quote_for_ds1_filter

The TEK-100 uses a timing filter to maintain the phase integrity of the DS1 line clock during pointer adjustments and other timing anomalies caused by multiple multiplexer hops. With Spectracom's TEK, the client's clock does not lose lock, producing effective data movement and ensuring a graceful system recovery on rearrangement.

  • TEK-150 DS1 Retimer/Filter
    TEK-150-DS1_retimer-filter

    request_a_quote_ds1_retimer

The TEK-150 Retimer/Filter reconstitutes the timing accuracy and stability of the network DS1. The device employs a unique line retiming buffer that ensures the DS1 stream is delivered at the accuracy of the local reference. Accurate rate is established and phase transients are removed from the DS1 line at the point of use. If the reference is lost, the TEK-150 reverts to its embedded filtering algorithm, ensuring DS1 line continuity while mitigating detrimental transients.

  • TEK-200 E1 Filter
    TEK-200-E1_filter

    request_a_quote_E1_filter

The TEK-200 uses a timing filter to maintain the phase integrity of the clock during pointer adjustments and other timing anomalies caused by multiple multiplexer hops. With Spectracom's TEK, the client's clock does not lose lock, producing effective data movement and ensuring a graceful system recovery on rearrangement.

  • TEK-250 E1 Retimer/Filter
    TEK-250-E1_retimer-filter

    request_a_quote_E1_retimer

The TEK-250 Retimer/Filter reconstitutes the timing accuracy and stability of the network E1. The device employs a unique line retiming buffer that ensures the E1 stream is delivered at the accuracy of the local reference. Accurate rate is established and phase transients are removed from the E1 line at the point of use. If the reference is lost, the TEK-250 reverts to its embedded filtering algorithm, ensuring E1 line continuity while mitigating detrimental transients.
