Time and Frequency Distribution

Spectracom’s core expertise is based on delivering accurate, secure and easy-to-integrate precision time and frequency sources to where it is needed.

Often times, it starts by distributing the precision timing signal from the GPS system, but the right solution for your application is dependant on the distribution of accurate time. We are well versed in a variety of timing protocols including protocol for network timing (such as NTP and SNTP), time codes based on the Inter-Range Instrumentation Group (IRIG) standards, and ASCII time codes using serial communication standards. Products include secure network time servers, master clocks, and synchronized clocks & time display products.

We also understand how to distribute precise frequency and clocking signals throughout a network. Our GPS time and frequency products offer an industry-standard 10 MHz signal to control and calibrate devices. For other frequencies including other signal types such as for clock and timing signals for a variety of communications systems, we offer options and devices such as distribution amplifiers, redundancy products, and clock converters, and extractors.

Products for Time and Frequency Distribution

Master Clocks
master clock Our NetClock® time servers and Epsilon GPS clocks are standards in their industry for the distribution of precision time and frequency where ever it is needed. these systems output extremely reliable serial time codes, IRIG, 1 PPS, 10 MHz, NTP and other outputs,

Features: GPS synchronization to virtually any device, 5-year warranty
Benefits: Reliable, legally traceable time®

Network Time Servers
network time server NetClock/GPS systems provide reliable and secure time synchronization to servers, workstations and their software and log files for complete LAN synchronization. An affordable time server works with a NetClock/GPS to securely synchronize devices requiring isolation from the rest of the network.
Features: GPS synchronization for networks and devices, isolated device sync
Benefits: Secure, accurate, easy-to-manage

Time Displays
synchronized clocks TimeView® time displays are synchronized from a time source using RS-485 or a wireless transmission over an existing radio system. Optional features include event and alert indicators.

Features: Wireless time, high visibility, Synchronized time
Benefits: Operational efficiency

Bus-Level Timing Boards
cpci-100.JPG Integrate time synchronization into embedded systems with bus-level timing. Utilize your IRIG or other precision time code, or use GPS to synchronization your system. All major bus-types and operating systems are supported
Features: Timecode input, timecode output, GPS timing
Benefits: Accurate, user-programmable, multi-functional, versatile, customizable

Primary Frequency References
frequency reference Ageless master oscillators are highly accurate frequency and timing sources locked to GPS. Use to improve radio systems such as simulcasting and resynchronizing telecommunications equipment.
Features: Precision frequency control, T1 timing outputs, CTCSS tone sync
Benefits: Stratum-1 accuracy, stability, reliability

Time and Frequency Distribution
time and frequency distribution Spectracom offers a variety of devices to enable the effective use of time sources and frequency references in a variety of systems. Applications include clock and signal amplifiers, source fault-detection and failover, and wireless time distribution.
Features: Wireless time, timecode distribution, frequency amplifiers
Benefits: Redundancy, easy system integration

Telecom Clock Converter
10 MHz to DS1/E1 Converter VersaTap™ is a unique device that converts or synthesizes a clock from a frequency signal.
