GPS-disciplined quartz oscillators are used as alternatives for cesium and hydrogen maser systems for high precision frequency references. GPS-based systems are self-traceable and self-calibrating frequency references to calibrate frequency counters, signal generators, and other frequency-based instruments.

Spectracom’s distribution amplifiers provide precise delivery of frequency references and telecommunication timing signals throughout a facility. Our distribution amplifier systems will take a GPS frequency standard signal, typically a 10MHz frequency reference, and provide frequency distribution to equipment for laboratory and manufacturing testing equipment. Frequency synthesizers and frequency converters are also available to provide frequencies other than 10 MHz.
