Graphics Designer - Part-Time

Location: Rochester, New York

Spectracom designs, develops and manufactures precise time and frequency products that are integral components of computer networks, communications systems and a variety of test and measurement applications. We are currently are seeking a Graphic Designer (part-time) to maintain and create marketing collateral using their knowledge of desktop publishing and general technical products business acumen. The marketing collateral work would include designing datasheets, diagrams, and the creation of artwork for print and web sites. The selected candidate will work 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications/Experience Requirements:

• Completion of undergraduate graphic design coursework required; 2 yr. degree in graphic design preferred.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a marketing department of a manufacturing company or a communications agency. Experience with technical products preferred.
• Proficient in QuarkXPress, Photoshop, Illustrator or Macromedia FreeHand in PC based environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Design, maintain and update marketing collateral: datasheets, diagrams, etc. including the creation of artwork for print and web sites.

Other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager

Ability to work in fast paced, high-tech environment

Detail oriented

Effectively handle multiple projects in various stages of production

Ability to think creatively and work under effectively under tight deadlines
